New Motion Labs unveils revolutionary new chain drive for eCargo bikes
– Advertorial content –
New Motion Labs (NML) – a mechanical engineering startup based in the UK and Germany, recently unveiled the Enduo Cargo+, the first drivetrain designed to meet the specific strength, durability and maintenance requirements of eCargo bikes, which is set to revolutionise the eCargo bike delivery market.
The NML team will be presenting the technology at the World of eMobility conference in Amsterdam from November 18-20th. Visitors will be able to trial the tech on a premium eCargo bike at the event, and samples are now available for any manufacturers and courier companies interested in testing across their fleets.
The Enduo Cargo+ system delivers up to a 2x increase in drive lifetime.
Using a revolutionary new proprietary sprocket tooth profile technology combined with industrial strength chains, the Enduo Cargo+ enables conventional roller-chains to transfer power on both sides of the tooth. This significantly reduces frictional wear, and improves the strength, lifetime and efficiency of eCargo bike drivetrains. With Enduo technology, eCargo bikes will attain a step change increase in drive lifetime, ability to cope with higher loads experienced in e-cargo bikes without failure and require less maintenance than conventional chain-drives.
The New Motion Labs team.
NML has already partnered with leading manufacturers and suppliers of eCargo bikes, where the drivetrain will be tested across six premium eCargo bikes – three fitted with Enduo technology to be compared with three identical bikes fitted with conventional drivetrains. Testing with the University of Stuttgart has been successful, already proving significant lifetime savings, including a 2x increase in drive lifetime.
“The Enduo Cargo+ is the world’s first eCargo bike specific drivetrain, representing a leap forward in drivetrain technology for the demands of eCargo bikes. The Cargo+ combines the revolutionary Enduo system with industrial chain technology to create the most durable chain-drive ever”
– Marcel Fowler, CEO
New Motion Labs CEO Marcel Fowler will speak at World of eMobility
