citkar launches in the Netherlands
German manufacturer citkar is now launching its four-wheeled e-cargo bikes in the country of bicycles – the Netherlands. By driving one of the different types of the “citkar” cargo bike you will not only reduce the impact on climate change but also improve liveability and sustainability in cities by replacing conventional last mile delivery and transport vehicles.
The “citkar” is the smart combination of bike and car: robust, reliable and intuitive to drive as well as emission-free. It thus offers both, the comfort and safety of a car and the flexibility of a bike in traffic. With a payload of up to 235 kg, however, it is a real load master. Transport your goods easily either on the loading area or in one of the transport boxes which allow an individual adaptation to your goods, your daily work and to diverse purposes. With a width of only 98 cm, it (nearly) fits every entrance which makes it easy to transport all kinds of goods to any front door.
The many features of the “citkar” make it a long-term companion for you and your business. A weatherproof cabin, four wheels, side mirrors, a comprehensive light and indicator system and an ergonomic seat protect the driver especially in busy city traffic. The multifunction steering wheel makes it easy to steer the utility vehicle and to operate the brakes, lights, indicators and gear. Thanks to the integrated 4-inch display, you will always have speed, distance and the remaining running time of the batteries in view.
As a pedelec, the “citkar” can be driven and parked on roads as well as bike paths. In addition, people under age or those without a driving license will have the opportunity to drive it and will therefore be able to participate in new work areas which they were excluded from before.
All their vehicles come with two rechargeable batteries, which can be charged at any conventional power socket and allow a distance of up to 60 km.
